Peach Launches Her New Digs and Book

Party Time, starting at one PM at my house ... a celebration of a dream realized! A new room ready for me to occupy and a new book almost ready to be published.

What a grand feeling. Looking around at the eighty or so celebrants, I was impressed with their interactions and their attitudes. Animated conversations, mostly about my comfortable room.   My mom Antoinette and stepdad Mark running around trying to make sure everyone had enough to eat and drink. I know I did.

I met some amazing people, all of whom were there to celebrate a girl . . . a girl whose dreams were once fleeting but now have the helium to fly high above her house and new room. I pondered this idea of human kindness and although the world preaches hostility and ignorance towards one another, what I witnessed was beautiful, blissful kindness . . .the pleasantries of people eating, drinking, and talking. Not a cell phone insight.

I felt kind of queenish, not in a snobby kind of way but really down-home family style. When people entered they were sure to say hi, congrats, great room, lovely gathering.  This is a foreign emotion, but I soon got used to it and enjoyed it immensely. As the day ended, I was exhausted and ready for bed.

Good night, world:  thank you for having me in it.
